Vegetarian

Common names and forms

  1. Tocopheryl Acetate
  2. Vitamin E (Mixed Tocopherols)

Description

Tocopheryl acetate is a specific form of vitamin E that’s often present in skin care products and dietary supplements. Vitamin E comes in the form of tocotrienol or tocopheryl. Both tocotrienol and tocopheryl have four forms, known as alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. In humans, Alpha-tocopheryl (AT) is the most active form of vitamin E. ATA (Alpha-tocopheryl acetate) is more stable than AT (Alpha-tocopheryl), meaning it can withstand environmental stresses such as air, heat, and light in a better way. ATA is used in vitamin E dietary supplements.
