Kachagolla Recipe

Kachagolla is an authentic sweet of Bengal. Delicious and flavorful. This sweet made with fresh paneer/chhena, saffron,rose water and cardamom powder. As it is home made so I used milkmaid instead of sugar for better taste.

Ingredients For Kachagolla Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil milk first. When it will start to leave bubble, add vinegar to make paneer.
  • 2. Strain excess water from paneer and wash the paneer under cold water to avoid the sour taste of vinegar.
  • 3. Heat ghee in a pan,add crumbled paneer, milkmaid and cardamom powder.Cook it for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Mix saffron strings in 2tsp hot milk & add it to the paneer mixture.
  • 5. Add rose water now and stir it constantly to avoid burning.
  • 6. When the mixture will leave the sides of the pan ,switch off the flame.
  • 7. Let it cool for few times and then make any shape of kachagolla.
  • 8. Keep it in fridge for an hour, decorate with cherry slices or any other dry fruits and serve it.
