Aloo Ghee Roast Recipe

Ghee Roast is very delicious dish famous in Mangalore. I have tried out variation of this with potato because i am vegetarian. Tasty Tales Mangalorean ghee roast is perfect paste and definitely made the cooking easy. You can serve this with any variety of Roti,paratha ,Neer Dosas or rice.

  • 1. In a frying pan heat ghee.Add the potatoes.Fry the potatoes in the ghee till they change colour. Drain out the potatoes onto a plate lined with a kitchen napkin.
  • 2. Heat a pan add 4 tabelspoon of tasty tales mangalorean ghee roast and fry for 15 seconds.
  • 3. Now add back the potatoes. Season with salt properly.
  • 4. Toss the potato cubes in the ghee roasted spices and slowly roast the potato cubes for 2 minutes, coating each cube generously with the spices.
  • 5. Whisk curd and water together and slowing add to the frying pan. Toss the potato cubes now in the yogurt.
  • 6. Simmer and roast the potato cubes a few more seconds. Keep going till the gravy is dry and only enough to coat the potato cubes. Potato Ghee Roast is ready to serve.
  • 7. Take papad katori and add 2 tabelspoons full of aloo ghee roast to the katori .Garnish with curry leaves. Serve immediately
