Ingredients For Badam Katli or Badam Barfi ( Without Sugar Syrup) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak almonds in hot water for 10 to 15 mins. Remove from hot water and soak in normal water for 5 mins. Then remove skin and again soak almonds in enough water for 2 to 3 hrs.
  • 2. Make smooth paste of almonds. Add very less water if required. Remove paste in heavy bottom big kadhai. Make sure no pieces of almonds are there in paste.Add sugar to the paste, mix well till sugar melts completely.
  • 3. Switch on the flame and keep kadhai on gas. Cook on low flame stirring continuously till all the water evaporates and mixture comes together. Check by touching it with finger. If it doesn't stick to the finger, switch off the flame. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature. Grease hands with ghee and knead the prepared mixture well to form smooth dough.
  • 4. Keep the dough on backside of greased plate and roll with the help of a rolling pin. Make cuts and garnish with silver leaves. Let it cool down completely.
  • 5. Remove gently with knife. Store in an airtight container and enjoy.
