Methods
  • 1. Soak urad dal and rice separately for approximately 4 hours.
  • 2. Then grind them separately and mix the urad dal paste with your hand to make the chakuli too soft.
  • 3. Then mix both the paste together and add salt into it. Mix it well and cover it for 1 hour.
  • 4. In the meantime prepare the tampering materials.
  • 5. Heat a kadai and put oil in it. Then add the punch photon in it.
  • 6. When the mustard in the punch photon crackle then add the chopped onion along with red and green chillies and curry leaves.
  • 7. Saute it for sometime till the onions become golden brown in colour.
  • 8. Then switch off the flame and keep them aside.
  • 9. Heat a tawa and grease oil in it and put a ladle full of batter in it and make the chakuli and then add the tampering onions in it.
  • 10. After cooking in one side flip it to the other side carefully.
  • 11. When both the sides cooked completely then switch off the flame.
  • 12. Now your baghara chakuli is ready to serve. Serve hot with any ketchup or chutney.
