CHETTINAD PRAWNS RECIPE

Chettinad masala is the main ingredient in this recepie who has is made of all dry spices.It recepies made with this masala is not that spicy, but I tried it with some different way using Hot sauce to make it spicy.

Hot sauce is very spicy be careful while adding the portion.

Methods
  • 1. Clean and wash with water & drain.
  • 2. Heat a pan on a low flame & add all the dry masala ingredients. Dry roast for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. 
  • 3. Turn off the flame & let it cool at room temperature. Add it to a mixy jar & grind into a fine powder.
  • 4. In a pan or kadai heat 3 tablespoons of oil on a medium-low flame, add curry leaves & saute for a minute. Add chopped onion & fry until they turn soft.
  • 5. Now add gingergarlic paste & saute for a minute. Add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder & saute nicely for a second keep flame on low.
  • 6. Add prawns, coriander leaves, mint leaves, prepared chettinad masala powder and mix everything well. 
  • 7. Next cover with lid and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes so that the prawns get cooked well and tender.
  • 8. Check in between and give a good mix and cover it again.
  • 9. Serve prawns with Rice or chapati.
