Ingredients For Coconut Kalakand Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Make Chenna from 1 litre milk and keep it aside.(boil milk turn off the flame and keep aside for 1 minute then add lemon juice and stir continuously.strain chenna tightly from strainer make sure theres no water in chenna).
  • 2. Heat a pan add 1 tbsp ghee and fry shredded coconut in it adding 2-3 tbsp sugar in it.Keep it aside.
  • 3. Heat a pan add ghee,Chenna and cardamom powder in it. Fry until color turns golden brown.
  • 4. Add One cup milk, sugar(According to your taste) and shredded coconut in it.
  • 5. Add Condensed milk/Mithai mate in it(Approximately 6-7 spoon)
  • 6. Add half tbsp rose water mixed in soaked saffron water(Optional) Saffron will bring nice yellow color and Rose water will add nice fragrance to the sweet.
  • 7. Keep on stirring the mixture on a low flame until chenna hardens up a bit. Grease a plate/Tray from ghee. Spread the mixture on it keep aside for one hour.
  • 8. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits of your choice and cut it into square or any size you want. Coconut Kalakand is ready to serve.
