Hello, Diwali warm welcome to the family we await you for a whole year to celebrate Diwali, a festival of lights at the same time its variety of food fusions that bring smiles on each and every face around. This Diwali I tried my hands on creating festival fusion with all favourite bottle gourd halwa with chocolate and desiccated coconut fusions by assembling them to reflect as diyas.

Ingredients For Diwali wali thali(halwa shots-diyas) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take one medium size young bottle gourd wash and remove its outer skin, shred it out with help of shredder.
  • 2. Now take one thick bottom pan add ghee and saute shredded bottle gourd for some time till it becomes tender and water content is evaporated
  • 3. Now add preheated full cream milk accordingly and keep on whisking so that lumps are not formed. Blend it well.
  • 4. Add sugar, dry fruits and green edible colour(optional)and give them a good whisk. As all things are properly blended and cooked ghee will be separated and our bottle gourd halwa is ready.
  • 5. Now to make diya shaped shots take glass of small sizes make bottom layer with chocolate(melted chocolate slab by double boiler method)middle layer with our halwa and top it up with desiccated coconut and attach slice of almond to form complete look like diwali diyas.
