Ingredients For Green gram idli coated with masala podi Recipes

Methods
  • 1. Soak the green gram and rice in water for 3 hrs
  • 2. Wash and grind to fine paste.allow it to ferment for 8 hrs.
  • 3. Dry roast red chilli ,coriander seeds,sesame seeds,chana daal,urad daal for 4-5 min
  • 4. Grind them into powder by adding turmeric ,tamarind and salt to fine powder
  • 5. Our podi is ready.
  • 6. Add required salt and pour spoon by spoon batter in greased button idli batter..steam for 10 min.
  • 7. Heat oil in a wok..add cumin and mustard seeds..wait till they crackle
  • 8. Add asafoedia,curry leaves and the prepared 4 tsp podi ..
  • 9. Transfer the small idlis into it and mix well so that each idli is coated well podi...
  • 10. Ready to serve green gram idli with podi.
