I have taken jaggery in half the amount of rice, if you like to eat more sweet then you can increase the quantity of jaggery.

Ingredients For Jaggery Rice

  • 1. Wash the rice and keep it soaked for 10 minutes. Now add one and a half cup of water, 1 teaspoon of ghee and cook it 80%.
  • 2. Cut the jaggery into small pieces. Add half a cup of water and soak it.
  • 3. Separate the boiled rice with a fork . Now mix jaggery water in it. Turn on the gas, cook it for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
  • 4. Now add cardamom powder and chopped nuts in it. Keep stirring the rice with slow hands so that it does not burn from bottom.
  • 5. Add a spoonful of ghee to it, mix well and turn off the gas. Cover it and leave it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • 6. Delicious jaggery rice is ready. Serve them hot.
