Ingredients For Lentil seekh kebab Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak dal for 5-6 hours.Now cook soaked masoor dal with 2 cups of water, salt to taste for at least 6-8 whistle, once done allow the pressure to release naturally, drain out the excess water.
  • 2. Mash the masoor dal coarsely and mix them along with the potatoes.
  • 3. Heat a sauce pan with oil, add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle for few seconds.
  • 4. Add chopped garlic, ginger and saute for few seconds. Add onions and saute until the onions turn translucent.
  • 5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix it well.
  • 6. Add mashed potato and masoor dal mixture and slowly mix well until all the masala is evenly coated.
  • 7. Keep mixing until the kebab mixture combines together.
  • 8. Once the mixture is cooled down,divide the mixture into equal portions.
  • 9. Using a thick wooden skewer, press each portion of the dal mixture on it using your fingers to make kebab.
  • 10. Heat a grill pan with oil,add the kebabs slowly and keep turning it over until it crisps up evenly on all the side.
  • 11. Serve hot with green chutney.

Hi,am glad you like the recipe.You can use chana dal or white channa in place of masoor dal.

I don't usually go for veg kebabs, but boi do these look ravishing!! I would be making these myself real soon. Keep sharing such amazing recipes???

I am a lover of chicken seekh kebab and so I never quite like veg seekh kebab but this I really must try it because it’s such a healthy snack. I was looking for something healthy anyway, so thanks for this wonderful recipe.
