Recipe Notes

You can make murmura papdi with this mixture also instead of laddus by spreading the mix on greased kitchen platform. Jaggery should be properly cooked otherwise Laddu will form sticky.

Methods
  • 1. Dry roast the murmura on low heat, till it becomes crispy .
  • 2. Keep aside. Let it completely cool.
  • 3. In a heavy bottom wok heat ghee. Add jaggery and 2 tsp water . Cook the jaggery on low medium heat till it becomes fluffy and changes colour.
  • 4. Take water in a bowl. Pour some drops of jaggery. Leave it for few seconds. Now take it in hands . If jaggery drops break in your finger , it means it is ready, if not then cook it for more 2-3 minutes.
  • 5. Add baking soda and 1 tsp NOVA SHUDH GHEE. Add murmura. Mix it . Stir continuesly.
  • 6. Turn off the flame immediately. Mix it.
  • 7. Wet your hands with water. Start forming laddus immediately, otherwise it will be difficult to make laddus from the mixture , as once mixture cool down it becomes hard.
