Quite tough recipe, learned from mom n tried to make many times but dint get perfect result, so this time when I went at my place i told my mom to help me out with the recipe, so with her instructions I could make this super delicious sohan halwa recipe, n directly dedicated to my mom.

Ingredients For Sohan halwa recipe

Methods
  • 1. To make Sohan Halwa, first put a pan in the gas and let it become hot, add ghee to it and let it heat. then add refined flour and stir it well.
  • 2. When the aroma starts spreading from the flour, turn off the gas and take the pan down and let it cool.
  • 3. Now for sugar syrup put a pan in the gas and pour one-litre water in it and let it heat up. When the water becomes hot, add sugar to it, stir well and let it cook. Cook it till a 1 string consistency syrup is ready.
  • 4. Now add maida to it and mix it well with the help of a spoon. flame of gas should be min. to avoid getting burnt.
  • 5. Then heat the ghee and put it in sugar syrup slowly and stir with a spoon. When all the ghee is mixed and the halwa starts to thicken, halwa leaves it's sides, add almonds, pistachios, raisins and cashews.
  • 6. Now take the mixture and spread it in a plate, put ghee in a pan or tray and pour this mixture into it. When it cools down, cut it into pieces. I have shaped in heart.
  • 7. As soon as it cools down, remove the pieces and serve it. Sohan Halwa is ready. Garnish it with almonds, pistachios and cardamom.
