Turkish Pide is an easy to make Trukish flat bread which gets ready in a jiffy and goes very well with Hummus,Babaganush & Garlic Bread. Also goes pretty well with Non Veg delicacies like Jihari &Paya. Do try this recipe

Ingredients For Turkish Pide Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a bowl add yeast and add warm water and warm milk.
  • 2. Now add sugar and 3 tbsp olive oil.Add the egg white and reserve the yolk.
  • 3. Whisk everything together.
  • 4. Now gradually add 1 cup of flour at a time.
  • 5. This bread doesn't require a lot of whisking or kneading.Just mix the wet ingredients and dry ingredients.
  • 6. Once u have added the 5th cup of flour , our dough will look togther.
  • 7. Sprinkle some flour amd add 1 tbsp olive oil and start making a dough.
  • 8. Add 3 tbsp oil and keep sprinkling the flour to get a nice soft dough that doesnt stick togther.
  • 9. Now let the dough rest till it doubles.
  • 10. After an hour the dough will double.
  • 11. Divide the dough into 2.
  • 12. Now take 1 portion of the dough and flatten it on a butter paper.Keep 1 inch thickness.
  • 13. Using your finger tips make a ring near the corner.
  • 14. Now take a spatula and make vertical &horizontal lines to make a square patter.
  • 15. Now take the egg yolk that we reserved and using a brush , do a egg wash all over the pide.
  • 16. Sprinkle black and white sesame seeds all over the pide.
  • 17. Preheat the oven to 220⁰ Celcius and bake the pide for 15 minutes or till you see golden colour on top.
  • 18. Serve warm with Hummus, Babaganush and garlic sauce.
