Ingredients For Chatpata Aloo Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take the baby Potatoes wash them and boil them in a cooker for 3 to 4 whistles
  • 2. Once cool remove the skin and slice them into 2 halves
  • 3. On a tawa dry roast the cumin and coriander seeds separately and then grind them separately too.Set aside
  • 4. Heat oil in a kadai and add the cumin seeds and the curry leaves
  • 5. Once they crackle add the freshly grounded cumin and coriander pwder
  • 6. Add red chilli pwdr and adjust the salt
  • 7. Fry for a few minutes and add the potatoes
  • 8. Fry the potatoes for few minutes and then close the stove
  • 9. For kokam chutney - soak the kokam in little water for 30 minutes to 1 hr
  • 10. Add the soaked kokam in the mixer jar.Add the jaggery, green chillies and the cum amd coriander pwder.Adjust the salt
  • 11. Grind to a smooth paste
  • 12. Add 1 to two tsp of this chutney over the potatoes
  • 13. Mix throughly.Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves ans some coriander pwdr
