Chinese fried rice potli recipe

Chinese potli is a little potli filled with yummy treat inside. It's a fusion appetizer mainly made with noodles and veggies. I have given it a twist by filling it with leftover rice and the result is worth it. It's a super yummy appetizer.

1. Fry the potlis just before serving. 2. You can add veggies and make it for vegetarians or if you don't like prawn you can omit it and also add fillings of your choice.

Ingredients For Chinese fried rice potli recipe

Methods
  • 1. First take all purpose flour in a bowl and make the dough for the potlis by adding 2tsp oil, a pinch of salt and water. Keep it aside.
  • 2. Heat oil in a large fry pan, add the eggs and cook until scrambled. Transfer the scrambled eggs in a bowl.
  • 3. Now add 2tbsp oil and cook the prawns for few minutes until opaque. Keep aside.
  • 4. Add onion in the same pan. Saute with ginger garlic paste and red chilli powder. Stir well.
  • 5. After that add the leftover rice, soya sauce, schezwan sauce, vinegar, black pepper and salt.
  • 6. Then add the scrambled eggs and prawns. Toss it nicely to combine it with rice. Keep aside.
  • 7. To make the potlis, take a small portion of the dough and roll into circular sheet.
  • 8. Fill the center of the circular sheet with prawn and egg fried rice mixture. Bring the edges together into a potli shape.
  • 9. Heat oil and deep fry the potlis in medium flame till golden.
