Ingredients For Gajar Halwa stuffed Bajra Tarts Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Let's prepare the tarts 1st
  • 2. Take the Bajra flour add the sugar and salt
  • 3. Add cold butter and rub the butter into the flour
  • 4. Using very cold water make the dough
  • 5. Make a stiff dough
  • 6. Once the dough is ready ,place in a airtight box and refrigerate for 1 hr min
  • 7. Prepare the Halwa
  • 8. Grate the carrots
  • 9. In a pressure cooker add the grated carrots and the milk and pressure cook for 3 whistles
  • 10. Once cool open the cooker and dry the moisture
  • 11. Heat ghee and add the cooked carrots. Add the sugar and the khoya too
  • 12. Cook till the ghee starts to release from the sides
  • 13. Let this cool
  • 14. Let's prepare our travel shells
  • 15. Remove the Bajra dough from the refrigerator
  • 16. Roll it and place it in the tart pans.Trim the edges and using a fork, pick the tarts
  • 17. Place chicken peas inside the tart and blind bake them for 20 to 25 mins in a preheated oven at 180⁰ c
  • 18. Or till the tarts are golden brown in color
  • 19. Discard the chickpeas Let the tarts cool
  • 20. Now fill the tarts with the Carrot Halwa
  • 21. Garnish with some nuts and serve warm
  • 22. Enjoy the healthy dessert fusion
