GAJAR KA HALWA RECIPE

This is very very healthy and delicious dessert of Indian cousin . Carrot is rich in beta-carotene, Vitamins and fibre. Ghee carries good fats required by our body during winter. Milk , dry nuts add to the calcium , protein and antioxidants in the halwa.

Recipe Notes

Ghee gives nice flavour to the halwa. You can also use 250 gm mawa in place of milk.

Methods
  • 1. In a pressure cooker add grated carrot, 1/2 glass water. Give it to 2-3 whistles. Separate the water.
  • 2. Take a heavy bottom wok heat ghee. Add boiled carrot roast it with ghee. Add milk. Cook it on medium heat. Stir continuesly. Cook it until milk absorbed by the carrot.
  • 3. Add sugar , cardamom powder and nuts. Mix it well. Stir continuesly. Cook it on medium high flame.
  • 4. Add 1 tbsp ghee. Mix it well.
  • 5. Transfer it in a serving bowl. Garnish with fry fruits. Serve hot.
