Ingredients For Gujarati Lapsi Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Firstly,in a pressure cooker heat 3 tbsp ghee & saute 1/2 cinnamon,2 cardamom,3 cloves untill it turns aromatic.
  • 2. Now add 1/2 cup daliya & cook on a low flame.Roast it for 5 minutes.
  • 3. Further add 2 cups of water & mix well.Cover & pressure cook for 5 whistles untill daliya cooks.
  • 4. Open the cooker,add 1/4cup jaggery ,5-6 threads saffron & 1/2 cup water. Mix well & make sure jaggery melts completely. Cook for 5 minutes
  • 5. Take a kadai,heat 1 tsp ghee ,1 tbsp raisins, 2 tbsps almonds. Roast untill nuts became golden brown.
  • 6. Add in roasted nuts & 1/4 tsp cardamom powder & mix well. Enjoy lapsi & garnish it with raisins & elachi.
