Gulab Jamun Sandwich Recipe

Gulab Jamun is a classic Indian dessert usually enjoyed during festive occasions, that no one can denied for it. Gulab meaning rose and Jamun meaning berry makes for Gulab Jamun as a berry-sized ball dunken in rose flavoured sugar syrup. I have made Gulab Jamun Sandwich to make it little innovative and fill the vanilla custard cream between two flat gulab jamun.

Ingredients For Gulab Jamun Sandwich Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a pan and add water and sugar and stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, add milk powder, all purpose flour semolina and mix it well.
  • 3. Add baking powder, ghee and milk and start kneading it to make a smooth soft dough.Knead the dough properly.
  • 4. Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a ball. Make total 10 balls from dough.Flatten the balls and keep aside.
  • 5. Heat enough oil in heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
  • 6. Transfer these fried balls into the warm sugar syrup and soak for 1 hour.
  • 7. In another pan boil milk and 1/4 cup sugar.
  • 8. Make a paste from custard powder and 1/2 cup chilled milk.
  • 9. Add this mixture in milk and sugar solution. Stir and cook till it thickened.
  • 10. Keep the prepared custard in fridge.
  • 11. Take out gulab jamun from sugar syrup and spread custard on 1 gulab jamun.
  • 12. Keep another gulab jamun on it, garnish with chopped pistachios and serve.
