Recipe Notes

We can add cardamom powder to this. But I want this recipe to taste just like mango so I have avoided it.

Ingredients For Mango Appam Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a mango, peel it, extract its pulp and ground it using a mixture
  • 2. Take a cup of semolina in a bowl add mango pulp, sugar to it and mix well
  • 3. Add milk to it and mix it until it reaches a desired consistency. Add desiccated coconut.
  • 4. Add saffron strands to this and keep it aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes check it’s consistency by adding some milk to if required.
  • 5. At last add fruit salt to it and stir it well.
  • 6. Now Greece the appam maker with oil. Fill the moulds by add some better in to them. Cover and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes.
  • 7. After 5 minutes, spread some oil around the appes. Cook all the appes likewise.
  • 8. Mango Appam are ready to serve you can have it with tea or coffee or you can also enjoy with some chocolate syrup.
