Paan n Lauki Ice Cream Recipe

In the scorching summers,ice cream seems to be the universal favourite.But due to the use of certain non healthy ingredients,we shy away from giving too much to our family,right? If I say that the following recipe uses all healthy ingredients and still tastes better than the market bought,how will you thank me? Yes,this recipe does not use any cornflour or custard or other setting agent.It makes use of the healthy ingredients,which unfortunately our kids shy away from.But I guarantee you,they are never going to realise that they have eaten those very items which they dislike.Added bonus is the taste and benefits of paan and homemade gulkand.So,hit two birds with single stone.How??

I use silicon moulds as they are very easy to demould.You can freeze this in any air tight container.

Ingredients For Paan n Lauki Ice Cream Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil milk.Let it simmer till it is reduced to half.
  • 2. Meanwhile grate and boil lauki.When it comes to room temp,pass it through blender to make a smooth paste.
  • 3. Add it to milk and let simmer for about 15 minutes.Now add oatmeal,sugar and condensed milk.Let this all reduce to half.
  • 4. Remove from flame and let cool.Transfer to an air tight container and freeze for two hours.
  • 5. After two hours, grind paan leaves,gulkand,moti saunf to a coarse paste.
  • 6. Take out Ice cream from the freezer.Transfer in a grinder jar.Add malai and paan paste.
  • 7. Give two three short quick churns.Pour in moulds and freeze for 8-9 hrs.
  • 8. Your healthy creamy ice cream is ready.Demould and enjoy this summer treat.
