Ingredients For Pabda tilottoma recipe

Methods
  • 1. Firstly, wash and clean the fish properly and marinate with salt and turmeric powder. Deep fry them in mustard oil till golden brown in colour.
  • 2. Now in a mixing bowl, mix together sesame paste, mustard paste, green chilies paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and make a masala paste using little water.
  • 3. Add little more mustard oil if required in the same pan where we fried the fish. Add the slit green chillies . As it begins to splutter, add the masala paste. Add salt and cook till the oil starts separating from the pan.
  • 4. Next, add 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil. Cover and cook until the gravy thickens. Add the fried fish. Cook for another 2-3 minutes and switch off the heat. Drizzle mustard oil and add some slit green chilies. Serve hot with steamed rice.
