Recipe Notes

Color of spinach does not change due to boiling of spinach and onion. I have not added red chili to it, because I had to keep the spinach color green. You can also use tomato puree instead of tomato sauce.

Methods
  • 1. Wash the spinach properly. Cut and remove its stem part . Clean it well.
  • 2. Take a pan add 1 glass water , boil it. Add chopped onions. Boil it for 3-4 minutes.
  • 3. Now add spinach, ginger and green chillies in it . Blanch the spinach.
  • 4. Separate spinach and water with the help of sieve. Keep it aside to cool down.
  • 5. Grind it to make paste.
  • 6. Take a wok heat ghee in it. Add cumin, clove and cinnamon stick. Saute for seconds.
  • 7. Add salt , garam masala and tomato sauce. Mix it well.
  • 8. Add grinded spinach. Mix and cook it for 3-4 minutes on low heat.
  • 9. Finally add paneer . Turn of the flame.
  • 10. Transfer it in a serving plate. Garnish it with grated paneer .
  • 11. Serve hot with chapati/ naan.
