Puran Poli Recipe

Ingredients For Puran Poli Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour, salt, water as required, 2 tbsp oil, mix well and prepare a soft dough.
  • 2. 1st wash chana dal well then add chana dal and water in a cooker. Keep high flame till 1 whistle , lower the flame give 6-7 whistle.
  • 3. After 5 minutes take all this cooked dal in a Puran maker remove all excess water first in a bowl ( We will use this to prepare Dal amti).
  • 4. Now in a Kadai/Pan take this dal add 1 to 2 cup jaggary as per your taste, you can also do half portion sugar and half jaggery, cook it on low to medium flame till it becomes thick.
  • 5. With help of puran maker do paste of this cooked Dal. We call it puran.
  • 6. Once it becomes thick add cardamom powder in that. Let it cool down.
  • 7. Puran is ready now.
  • 8. Take a small ball of dough make a shape like bowl and add puran in that. Close the ends.
  • 9. Apply some wheat flour and make a round poli with smooth hand.
  • 10. Flip and roll from both sides. Don't apply more force.
  • 11. Now heat the pan and roast your poli well from both sides.
  • 12. Here, your delicious Puran Poli is ready to serve. You can serve with ghee.
