Seviyan Kheer also known as vermicelli kheer or sevai kheer is a delicious Indian dessert which is easy and quick to make. It is made basically using vermicelli, milk and sugar. It can be flavoured with cardamom, sliced almonds, pistachios, raisins and saffron.

Ingredients For Seviyan Kheer (Vermicelli Kheer) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
  • 2. Add sevai and roast till golden brown on low heat.
  • 3. Add Almonds and Raisins and roast for one more minute.
  • 4. Add milk in the same pan. Cook till the kheer thickens to the desired consistency. (Keep in mind that it will thicken further upon cooling)
  • 5. Add sugar, Stir and cook until sugar dissolves.
  • 6. Add cardamom powder and mix it well, cook it for 1-2 minutes.
  • 7. Seviyan Kheer or Vermicelli Kheer is ready to serve. Serve it cold or hot as per you choice.
