Ingredients For Simili urundai / Raagi & peanut ladoo Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Step 1 : Roast the peanut until golden brown and grind it coarse. Keep it aside.
  • 2. Step 2 : In a pan, add the Ragi flour and roast it on slow flame. Once Ragi is roasted and there is no more raw smell, take it off the stove and cool it.
  • 3. Step 3 : Break the Jaggery cubes into a power form and keep it aside.
  • 4. Step 4 : In a plate add the roasted Ragi , little bit ghee, a pinch of salt and water. Make a dough ( just like a roti dough). Divide the dough into small ball and keep it aside. Heat a tava, add little bit ghee and place the ragi ball in the center and tap it flat with your hands. Cook on both sides and it will look like a ragi roti.
  • 5. Step 5: Once the roti cools down, grind it into a powder. Then take a big plate add the ragi, ground peanut, jaggery and mix well.
  • 6. Step 6 : Once all the ingredients are mixed well, make small size ladoo. You can use ghee while making the ladoo to grease your hands ( this is optional).
  • 7. Note: You can also add roasted sesame seed powder to the mixture, this will add more flavor to your ladoo ( optional).
