Ingredients

Ingredients For Traditional Mysore Pa Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Please don't change the ratio. It is always 1:2:3 (besan:sugar:ghee).
  • 2. Sieve the besan once or twice and fry using a spoon of ghee till the raw smell leaves.
  • 3. Measure 3 cups of ghee and melt it in a vessel. Take a cup of molten ghee from it and mix the fried besan with the ghee.
  • 4. Take 2 cups of sugar in a heavy bottomed vessel.
  • 5. Add a cup of water to it and stir till it gets 1 string consistency
  • 6. Now mix the besan, ghee mixture and cook well.
  • 7. Also add the remaining two cups of ghee little by little.
  • 8. Once all the ghee is added , the mixture will be frothy and will ooze out the ghee.
  • 9. Now pour the mixture in a greased plate and allow it to cool.
  • 10. Sprinkle some sugar on top for additional taste.
