The fall of winters definitely calls for a warm sweet treat.
Nothing is better than the divine zarda after a good meal.
Learn this easy wedding like sweet rice recipe called zarda in the most simple way.

First boil the soaked rice with 2 cardamom, 2 cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and a pinch of orange food colour.

We need to completely cook the rice. Drain the water.

Then add in the sugar and mix all together. Put the rice over high flames covering it for 2 minutes approx.

Once the sugar release its water remove the lid and add in the mawa and dried fruits and mix again. At this moment the rice should be over low heat.
5.
Meanwhile prepare the tempering pour in the ghee in a ladle and put it over heat. Then add in one cardamom and 1-2 cloves.
6.
Pour it over the prepared sweet rice or zarda and put it on dum for 8-10 minutes. Make sure the rice does not stick to the bottom or gets burnt.
7.
Your delicious zarda or sweet rice is ready to serve.
