Baked Achaari Roll Recipe

Aam ka achaar!! The moment we hear these words,our mouth salivates...ummm.How wonderful and exciting it would be if this achaar could be relished in some other way also.I experimented and gosh!!what an amazing snack it turned out to be.Added bonous is that it is baked and made of wholewheat flour.No maida.So,no excess oil or empty carbs.Why wait...let's start right away.

Ingredients For Baked Achaari Roll Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Drain all oil from pickle by keeping it in a tea strainer for about two hrs.Otherwise,rolls will be too salty and oily.
  • 2. Meanwhile mix flour and oil.Adding water gradually,kneed a hard but smooth dough.
  • 3. Cover it and let it rest for half an hour.
  • 4. Now dust your work place with dry aata and divide the dough in three equal parts.
  • 5. Roll each of them into a rectangle of thickness of poori. Working on first rectangle,spread some pickle over whole of the surface.
  • 6. Now starting from one side,roll it tightly into a log .Apply some water over the end and press that end into the log to seal.
  • 7. In this way,make all the three logs.
  • 8. With a sharp knife,cut roundrels of equal size from the logs.
  • 9. Grease a baking tray and place these roundrels on it.Brush oil on them.
  • 10. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees or till crisp.
  • 11. Take out and let cool on a cooling rack.Once completely cooled,store them in an air tight container.
