BEETROOT, BANANA & GINGER SPICED SMOOTHIE RECIPE

Smoothie is a significant manner to sip your way through breakfast and a great option if you want to add fruits and veggies into your diet. It is a nutrient power-packed bowl with the goodness of the fruits and veggies along with a protein-filled yoghurt or milk of choice. They also make you feel satiated for longer periods. Another benefit of a smoothie is that you can sip them on your way to work or any other occasion. It is quick and easy to make and yet doesn't sacrifice on your nutrient intake. . . This particular smoothie is very easy to make and is a treat for both the eyes and palette. It tastes absolutely delicious and leaves you craving for more. I topped my smoothie with salted pumpkin seeds and basil seeds. You can alternate toppings based on personal choices.

Methods
  • 1. Roughly chop beetroot and banana.
  • 2. Add beetroot and ginger to a blender and make into a fine paste.
  • 3. Add banana and blend again.
  • 4. To a bowl add yoghurt and whisk to make it smooth and lump free.
  • 5. Add the paste to the yoghurt and mix well.
  • 6. Add to a serving bowl and top it up with pumpkin seeds and basil seeds. Or grab it in a bottle on your way to work.
