Ingredients For Brown Rice Barfi Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak the brown rice with enough water for an hour and then dry it in open air.
  • 2. Dry roast the rice then. Then take it in a mixing jar and make it's powder.
  • 3. Boil the milk then with jaggery powder. Add desiccated coconut. Add rice powder then. Don't add all the powder at a time. Mix it slowly otherwise it will make lump.
  • 4. Stir it constantly and cook it in low flame. When it will start to leave the sides of the pan then switch off the flame.
  • 5. Take out half portion of the mixture from the pan. Add beetroot juice with other portion for colour. This step is optional.
  • 6. Now grease a square shaped tin and pour one portion of barfi in it. Spread it with spatula. Put walnut on it and spread another mixture (red colour mixture) over it.
  • 7. Sprinkle desicatted coconut on it and keep it in fridge.
