Methods
  • 1. Collect all the necessary materials. To make leftover rice cutlets, put the cooked rice in a deep bowl
  • 2. Then add mashed and boiled potatoes, chopped onions and capsicum to it.
  • 3. Then add tomatoes, onions, chopped coriander leaves and green chilies to it.
  • 4. Now add all the spices like salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, Aamchur powder and garam masala powder.
  • 5. Mix everything well using hands and make sure that the cooked rice is also mashed properly.
  • 6. Add besan and then mix it well. The mixture should come together like a dough and have a sticky consistency.
  • 7. The mixture for making rice cutlets is ready.
  • 8. Grease your palm with a spoonful of oil so that the mixture does not stick and take a small portion of the prepared mixture.
  • 9. Now give the shape of a small heart, press it in the middle of the palm of your hand.
  • 10. Shape the mixture into small to medium sized cutlets and make heart shaped cutlets.
  • 11. Use the same process for the rest of the mixture and make the remaining cutlets as well. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a pan on medium heat.
  • 12. Once the oil is hot enough, place 4-5 cutlets in the hot oil. Let it cook till the bottom becomes light brown and crispy.
  • 13. Flip them over and cook from the other side. Press them slightly with flat spoon, so that a nice golden.
