Qatayef is a Arabian dessert made from apf. But here i made it using Mangalorean neer dosa batter with natural colours.

Ingredients For Colourful neer dosa qatayef recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash rice repeatedly. Soak for 4 to 5 hours.
  • 2. Later grind it to fine paste using enough water along with ¼ cup coconut & salt to taste.
  • 3. Devide ground batter into 4 parts. Keep one part as it is.
  • 4. To one part add turmeric, mix well. To other 2 parts add beetroot & coriander leaves respectively and grind again to make fine paste.
  • 5. Add water required to each of the batter & mix well.
  • 6. In a bowl, mix well together 1 cup coconut, jaggery powder , pinch salt & cardamom powder, keep aside.
  • 7. Heat a non stick tawa, grease well. Pour a small spoon full of any of the batter and spread little.
  • 8. Cover and cook till top looks cooked. Remove on a plate.
  • 9. Place a big spoon full of coconut jaggery mixture. Fold into half and press the edges halfway to seal.
  • 10. Likewise prepare all dosas from different coloured battets and arrange on a plate to serve.
