Ingredients For Dal Pitha Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a pressure cooker, put washed toor dal.
  • 2. Then add salt and turmeric powder. Cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
  • 3. Now knead wheat flour as we knead for chapati.
  • 4. Roll small puri from dough, fold from all 4 sides AND stick them together to give the shape of pitha.
  • 5. Now take the cooked toor dal in a deep bowl, add adequate amount of water in it, put the wheat pitha in it.
  • 6. Now cook this pitha in toor dal over slow flame, till wheat pitha becomes soft and cooked.
  • 7. Now make tarka. For this, add 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • 8. Then add hing, red chili whole, cumin seeds and crushed garlic.
  • 9. Put this tarka in dal and serve hot
