Farsi Puri Recipe

Farsi Puri is a traditional Gujarati snack. Farsi is typical kathiyawadi word. Here Farsi means Crispy. The main ingredient of this recipe is all purpose flour (Maida). Other ingredients are salt, ghee, black pepper and cumin seeds. Farsi Puri is served during festivals. It is also suitable for Evening (Teatime Snack). It testes yummylicious with masala tea. You can make a batch of Puri and store it for 10-15 days.

Ingredients For Farsi Puri Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a bowl and add all purpose flour into it.
  • 2. Add salt, cummin seeds and peppercorns.
  • 3. Mix it well.
  • 4. Now heat the ghee and pour it into flour mixture.
  • 5. Now using hand mix it very well to make your Puri crispy.
  • 6. Add more ghee so you can bind the flour without adding water.
  • 7. Now add water as require and kneed the dough.
  • 8. Keep aside and rest it for 10-15 minutes.
  • 9. Now take a pan and heat oil.
  • 10. After that make small equal sized balls from dough.
  • 11. Take a rolling board and roll it into circle using rolling pin.
  • 12. Make small Puri from it.
  • 13. Make sure Puri is not too thick and not too thin.
  • 14. By repeating the steps make all the Puri.
  • 15. Now using folk make pricks on Puri.
  • 16. Now deep fry it until little brown and pink color.
  • 17. Serve it with masala tea.
  • 18. Farsi Puri is ready to be serve.
