Gulab Jamoon with Rabri Recipe

Who doesn't know or make gulab jamoons!? It is one such dessert which is evergreen and liked by all age group? When regular jamoon has a super duper twist by serving it with creamy and delicious rabri, then definitely one can't stop it gulping just one or two. I am sure it is going to make you crave for more!

Ingredients For Gulab Jamoon with Rabri Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Follow the instructions as mentioned in the jamoon mix pack to make gulab jamoons. Keep the jamoons ready.
  • 2. If you have your recipe of jamoon making from scratch, then follow it.
  • 3. Now, keep milk to boil in a heavy vessel, stirring it occasionally. Clear the sides using the spatula in between.
  • 4. When it starts boiling, add in sugar & continue to boil. Add saffron/ gulkand and mix well.
  • 5. If using corn flour, then dissolve it in 2-3 tsp of milk or water in room temperature and add it to the boiling milk.
  • 6. After adding it, you need to stir continuously in order to avoid formation of lumps.
  • 7. Adding corn flour saves time in thickening of milk.
  • 8. If not using corn flour, then boil until milk thickens and reduces almost to half the initial quantity.
  • 9. When rabri reaches the right consistency, switch off the stove. Allow cooling.
  • 10. For better taste, chill the rabri in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  • 11. Serving: In a serving bowl, add 3-4 tbsp of rabri and 2-3 gulab jamoons.
  • 12. Garnish with chopped nuts, dry rose petals or saffron and serve.

I loved this recipe for it's an innovative idea. The best part is that festivals leave us around with so many sweets and most of which are usually gulab jamuns. Now I don't have to worry about the leftover Gulab Jamun as I can use it to make a whole new recipe which is equally tempting and tasty. Absolutely a perfect dessert treat to serve.
