Ingredients For HAL OBBATTU/PAL OBBATTU RECIPE

Methods
  • 1. Firstly grind grated fresh coconut, poppy seeds AND few cashews
  • 2. Make sure everything is ground well
  • 3. Now heat the grinded mixture in a thick bottom vessel
  • 4. Keep stirring
  • 5. Add powdered jaggery
  • 6. Keep stirring
  • 7. When it comes to boil, add cardamom powder
  • 8. Adding milk is optional
  • 9. Mix soji, maida, little salt & turmeric powder
  • 10. Using water make dough
  • 11. Rest dough for sometime
  • 12. Take a portion of the dough & knead in whichever shape you like
  • 13. Repeat the process for all
  • 14. Deep fry
  • 15. Soak this in previously prepared poppy seeds & coconutmixture (payasam)
  • 16. Serve with adequate amount of Payasam
