Methods

How to make HAL OBBATTU/PAL OBBATTU RECIPE

1. Firstly grind grated fresh coconut, poppy seeds AND few cashews
2. Make sure everything is ground well
3. Now heat the grinded mixture in a thick bottom vessel
4. Keep stirring
5. Add powdered jaggery
6. Keep stirring
7. When it comes to boil, add cardamom powder
8. Adding milk is optional
9. Mix soji, maida, little salt & turmeric powder
10. Using water make dough
11. Rest dough for sometime
12. Take a portion of the dough & knead in whichever shape you like
13. Repeat the process for all
14. Deep fry
15. Soak this in previously prepared poppy seeds & coconutmixture (payasam)
16. Serve with adequate amount of Payasam
