Mango Rose Buns Recipe

Who doesn't like buns or breads?And who doesn't like mangoes??Everybody does.....isn't it?And if we marry both of them,the result is going to be fabulous?Soft fluffy bun with mango flavour incorporated in it with sweet and spicy mango salsa stuffing...its simply going to blow away your mind.So,why wait.Dive in.

Ingredients For Mango Rose Buns Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take about half of the milk and heat it.Add ½ brown sugar and yeast to it.
  • 2. Stir and cover.Let it bloom for 15 minutes.
  • 3. Meanwhile make mango puree by passing mango pieces though a blender. Keep aside.
  • 4. In a mixing bowl take maida, milk powder,1/4 tsp salt and mango puree.Add bloomed yeast to these and start kneading.
  • 5. Add rest of the milk gradually,if required.Knead till all the ingredients stick together.
  • 6. Add one tbsp olive oil and keep kneading for about 2-3 minutes.
  • 7. Dust your counter top with maida .Transfer this dough to it and keep kneading for about 8-10 minutes using stretch and fold method.
  • 8. Grease a bowl and transfer this dough in it.Brush oil over it and cover it.
  • 9. Let it sit for about 45 minutes or till the dough doubles in volume.
  • 10. When few minutes are left,peel and chop mango in small pieces.
  • 11. Add red chilli flakes,all purpose seasoning,brown sugar,salt,oil and mix well.
  • 12. Divide it in 6 equal parts. Keep aside.
  • 13. By now the dough will double in volume.Gently knock down air from it.
  • 14. Kneed it gently for a minute and divide in 6 equal parts.
  • 15. Roll one part into a thick poori.Place one part of stuffing in the centre.
  • 16. With a sharp knife make six cuts on the empty space of poori in such a way that it is divided into six equal parts.Be careful not to cut the stuffed part.
  • 17. Now fold one part over the stuffing.This is the first petal of the rose.
  • 18. Next fold its opposite part over the stuffing.This is the second petal.
  • 19. Next fold the third petal over the stuffing.It will overlap the first two petals.
  • 20. In this way fold the fourth and fifth part.
  • 21. Now fold the last part over these petals and press the ends gently under the flower.
  • 22. In the same way make all the six roses.Place them in a greased baking tray.
  • 23. Brush oil over the roses and sprinkle flaxseeds over the stuffing part.
  • 24. Cover with a kitchen cloth and let them rise again for about 40 minutes.
  • 25. Once 10 minutes are left preheat oven at 200 degrees.
  • 26. Brush milk on the roses and bake for 30 minutes or till golden brown.
  • 27. When baked take them out and immediately brush with melted butter.
  • 28. Cover with a damp cloth and let cool.This will soften the buns.
  • 29. Your lipsmacking mango rose buns are ready.Enjoy them as breakfast,dinner or snacks....choice is yours.
