Ingredients For ORANGE CHICKEN Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and drain the chicken pieces thoroughly.
  • 2. Prepare orange slurry by mixing orange juice with 1 tsp of cornflour.
  • 3. Mix well. Keep aside
  • 4. In a mixing bowl add chicken pieces, soya sauce and white pepper powder . Mix well ,cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  • 5. Next add cornflour and give it a nice mix.
  • 6. Heat oil in a pan.
  • 7. Deep fry the chicken pieces till light golden. Place them on paper towels.
  • 8. In a pan, heat 2 table spoons of oil.
  • 9. Add chopped garlic and saute for few seconds.
  • 10. Then add ginger and stir till the raw flavours goes off.
  • 11. Then add chicken pieces.
  • 12. Stir for few seconds.
  • 13. Add orange slurry to the chicken pieces.
  • 14. Add sugar. Cook till the gravy thickens.
  • 15. Add orange zest. Remove from heat.
  • 16. Garnish with spring onion ,slices of orange and roasted sesame seeds
  • 17. Serve hot with fried rice.
