1= Instead of besan You can also add all purpose flour or cornstarch (corn flour).2= Add salt accordingly as cheese already has salt. You can even add rock salt or regular salt or black salt.3=For best taste serve them hot as soon as they are prepared.

Ingredients For Potato Cheese Balls Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Peel and mash patatoes very well in a mixing bowl. Allow them to come at room temperature before add the remaining ingredients.
  • 2. In the mashed potatoes, add black pepper powder, cumin powder, garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
  • 3. Add gram flour (besan) Mix very well.
  • 4. Check the taste and add more salt or crushed black pepper if required.
  • 5. Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai or pan.
  • 6. Make small balls from the mixture flattened it and place the cheese ball in it and cover softly like a ball.
  • 7. Make sure the oil has to be hot, otherwise the cheese balls may break.
  • 8. With a slotted spoon, turn over when the balls get to become golden.
  • 9. Fry them till they are evenly golden all over and crisp place them on kitchen paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • 10. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney or mint chutney or any dip of your choice.
