Recipe Notes

You have to powder cashews finely. When powdering them, use the pulse option in your blender or blend in intervals of some seconds. Do not blend at a long stretch as we just want powdered cashews. The fat should not release from the cashews while blending and you definitely do not want cashew butter.

  • 1. To make this dessert dish, soak the saffron overnight in milk. Then, grind the cashews into a very fine powder and keep it aside. Take a pan with some water and add sugar. Stir it until they are fully dissolved. Bring it to boil.
  • 2. Once the syrup attains one string consistency. Add crushed saffron and cardamom to it. Mix the cashew powder to it too and cook it until the mixture starts getting thick.
  • 3. Once the mixture is cooked turn off the flame. Transfer the cooked mixture to a plate and allow it to cool. When the mixture is cooled knead it well and roll between two butter paper in a circle.
  • 4. Finally,cut into the desired shape and serve with love.
