Ingredients For Sticky Toffee Square Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree celsius.
  • 2. Boil the water, then add in the chopped dates and heat gently for 5 minutes. Keep it aside.
  • 3. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Keep it aside.
  • 4. Cream both caster sugar, coconut sugar and butter together, until pale and fluffy.
  • 5. Slowly add in the beaten egg, vanilla essence and the date mixture, and mix.
  • 6. Sift in the dry ingredients and fold it lightly.
  • 7. Now pour in the batter in the greased mould and bake it for 20-25 minutes at 180 degree celsius.
  • 8. Once done, insert the skewer in the middle of the cake and if it comes out clean, the cake is done, if not then bake it for another 5 minutes.
  • 9. Now serve it hot with any of your favourite toppings.
