TAR HALWA RECIPE

Traditional Persian dessert which is made of rice flour with a perfect balance of sweetness and the way they serve is different they make different designs on this with nuts and rose flower petals. It's so soft that melts in the mouth.

Methods
  • 1. On a medium flame mix sugar and water and keep on stirring till the sugar gets dissolves.
  • 2. Don't boil the water I have kept saffron in lukewarm water and and mix this saffron water to the sugar syrup then add rose water also keep in side the water to come to lukewarm please don't boil the water fully.
  • 3. Next take a pan and stir rice flour with a wooden spoon always use nonstick pan for making this dessert.
  • 4. Stir till it becomes aromatic it should not change the colour so keep on medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • 5. Next add butter and and continuously stir it with the flour until it doesn't look like a paste.
  • 6. The syrup has come down to lukewarm to check take a small ball of flour and dip in if it sizzle the paste is hot enough to mix the syrup add food colour of saffron colour for more dark orange look and mix the syrup and stir it continuously till it gets mixed well with the flour and start leaving the pan for about 5 minutes.
  • 7. Next when it is done take out in a bowl and let it come to cool on a room temperature and take a serving bowl and add the halva to it and tap with the back of spoon to make a smooth top and make any design with the spoon it's the speciality of this dessert that this is always been serve with giving a beautiful designs.
  • 8. Next garnish with almonds and pistachios to give that beautiful look which looks amazing and taste very delicious.
