Different brands of agar agar work differently. Here i have used Meron spreadable agar gar wondergel 200.

Ingredients For Vegan Orange Cheesecake Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Sift together flour andsoda soda thrice, keep aside.
  • 2. In a bowl, combine together jaggery, salt, zest, oil and vinegar.
  • 3. Add some water, let jaggery dissolve.
  • 4. Add sifted flour, mix gently.
  • 5. Add water as required and make a lumpfree batter.
  • 6. Pour this into spring form pan lined with baking sheet.
  • 7. Bake at 180°C pre heated oven for 20 min. or till done.
  • 8. Now mix 1½ tbs jaggery in 2½ tbs water.Stir to dissolve.
  • 9. Once cake cools down, brush this syrup allover cake & soak it well.
  • 10. Now refrigerate the cake till further use.
  • 11. Now add required quantity of brown sugar & turmeric to orange juice.
  • 12. Boil and reduce it to 1 cup
  • 13. Wash and soak cashews for an hour, later drain completely.
  • 14. Grind this to fine paste adding coconut milk and brown sugar as required.
  • 15. Now reserve ¼ cup of reduced orange juice for glaze later.
  • 16. To the remaining add 2 tsp agar agar & heat till agar agar dissolves.
  • 17. Add this immediately to grinding jar with cashew paste.
  • 18. Grind to mix well.
  • 19. Pour this immediately over the soaked cake.
  • 20. Refrigerate back for an hour.
  • 21. Now add ¼ tsp agar agar to reserved orange juice.
  • 22. Heat until it dissolves.
  • 23. Pour this immediately allover the vegan cheese filling.
  • 24. Refrigerate for 4 to 5 hours until sets.
  • 25. Cut & serve!
