Baked Potato Roses Recipe

These Potato Roses are extremely easy to make & delicious. The outer petals & the tips are crisp & taste like Kettle Chips & the inner petals just the way baked potatoes are supposed to be - buttery, fluffy, moist & tender.

Recipe Notes

The Potato slices have to be as thin as possible. Should be easily rollable. Using a Mandolin is highly recommended for easy and faster slicing.

Ingredients For Baked Potato Roses Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees F. Grease a Muffin Pan lightly with melted butter.
  • 2. Remove blemishes from the skin of the potatoes. *Do not peel.
  • 3. Slice the Potatoes evenly and thinly. The slices should roll easily.
  • 4. Use a Mandolin if you have one.
  • 5. Wash thoroughly under running water in a colander. Shake off the excess water.
  • 6. Transfer to a large bowl.
  • 7. Add all the above ingredients including the melted butter. *Reserve some melted butter for brushing later.
  • 8. Mix well with your hands separating the slices as they tend to stick to each other.
  • 9. Arrange the sliced potatoes on a large chopping board or tray from right to left (overlapping) horizontally Or bottom to top (overlapping) vertically.
  • 10. Roll from right to left if the potatoes are arranged horizontally.
  • 11. Or
  • 12. Roll from bottom to top if the potatoes are arranged vertically.
  • 13. Place the Potato Roses in the prepared muffin pan. Add some more potato slices to make more petals if there’s room around the Roses.
  • 14. Brush lightly with melted butter.
  • 15. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes to an hour.
  • 16. When done, take the Roses our gently with the help of a small plastic spatula.
  • 17. Serve hot with a dollop of Sour Cream & Sriracha or Tabasco Sauce. You may top these Roses with some grated cheese of your choice and crispy Bacon Bits.
