Ingredients For Coffee mutton in honey coffee sauce recipe

Methods
  • 1. Firstly, season the mutton pieces with salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste and one teaspoon coffee powder and set aside for 30 minutes.
  • 2. In a pressure cooker, heat up 1tablespoon olive oil and add the marinated mutton and stir.
  • 3. Add red chilly powder and mix until everything is well combined. Add 1/4 cup water and pressure cook the mutton till 90% done.
  • 4. Next, when the pressure of the cooker comes down, take out the mutton pieces and strain the stock and reserve this.
  • 5. Now, heat a heavy bottom skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining olive oil. sear the mutton pieces on both sides, and  remove to a platter.
  • 6. Now to prepare the sauce, in the same skillet heat up  butter and add the milk stirring continuously.
  • 7. Next add the coffee, pepper, nutmeg, salt, honey and  bring to a boil. Add the reserved stock , cornstarch and  simmer for  5 minutes, until thickened.
  • 8. Put the mutton pieces  back into the skillet and cook in the sauce till the mutton is completely tender and coated with the sauce. Serve hot.
