To add 1 or 2 tbsp besan into the urad daal paste,its make kadhi is more delicious n tasty.

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak dal in three cups of water for four hours. Drain water and grind coarsely. Peel, wash and grind ginger and garlic, salt to taste to the dal. Mix well. Keep aside.
  • 2. Keep a small amount of dal aside. Heat oil in a pan. make a small urad dal dumpling. Add spoonfuls of dal into the pan or kadhai, fry both side untill they become golden brown in color. Keep aside dumpling in to a plate. .
  • 3. Now same kadhai or pan,take 1 tbsp oil, add fenugreek seeds, hing,coriander seed, curry patta, cumin seeds, asafoetida,green n red chilli and sauté till change colour.
  • 4. Now add beat yogurt and add the reserved dal mixture to it, Now add remaining red chilli powder and turmeric powder,garam masala,and salt,mix well and add 4 cups of water.
  • 5. Bring it to a boil. Add urad dal balls one by one. Continue to boil for two to three minutes.
  • 6. Cook for eight to ten minutes. Add salt and cook for another five minutes. Kadhi is ready..
  • 7. For tadka-: take a tadka pan,add 1tbsp oil or ghee,add mustard seed,dry red chilli,hing & kashmiri lal mirch powder. Pour into the kadhi.
  • 8. Serve hot hot spicy n tasty kadhi with rice n rori. Garnished with coriander leaves n ghee.
