Its fusion with maize flour makes it more amazing for the winters.and serve with royal AaluPyaz,Lehsun chutney,Mirch Tamatar ki sabji,Mirchi k gatte .Its very Delicious and finger licking dish.Mostly Maize Flour Tikkad are made in winters so that are easily digest.Because both are prepared in ghee.without ghee its tasteless.So lets start the recipe....

Ingredients For Makki aate k tikkad Wid shahi Aalu Pyaz / Maize Flour Tikkad Wid Royal Potatoes Onion Recipe

Methods
  • 1. How to prepare tikkads First take a large bowl and put maize flour, salt (little bit),alkaline salt,carrom seeds,fennel seeds,coriander seeds,cumin seeds and coriander leaves mix all the ingredients well.
  • 2. Then take 2 cup of luke warm water and make a tight dough.The dough required for tikkad shouldn't stiffer or softer.Knead the regular dough by adding water in intervals, cover and keep the dough aside for 15 - 20 minutes.After 15 minutes, the dough has set.
  • 3. Grease your palms with some Oil and knead the dough slightly.Divide a dough lump, roll it and press to flatten it. Prepare all Tikkad in the same way.in meantime take a deep boiling pan put 5 cups of water and boil it than put all tikkads for boiling in it for 10 minutes.
  • 4. After 10 minutes strain all tikkads and than on low flame take a bati oven and place all Tikkads on it and and cover it than after 15 minutes flip all tikkads and baked it till brown spots on all Tikkad it take 20 minutes to bake.then push all Tikkad and dip in ghee and serve it hot.
  • 5. How to Prepare Royal Aalu Pyaz First cut the potatoes and onion in large size square shape.than put some ghee in pan for frying aalu pyaz til crisp.
  • 6. Then take ghee in kadai add cumin seeds in it after crackle add asafoetida in it.than add aalu pyaz and add dry ingredients masala in it.and cover with lid for 5 minutes. Then add kasoori methi. and serve it hot with tikkads.
