While making naans, you just have to be extra careful while preparing its dough. If it is not kneaded properly, then the naans may come out to be quite chewy. Also adding the ingredients in the right proportion is very important for this recipe.

Methods
  • 1. To prepare this easy Ajwaini naan recipe, sieve together the dry ingredients into a kneading plate. Once done, add butter, curd in the dry ingredients and crumble using your fingers. Add little milk (as and when required) in the mixture, till the dough is soft.
  • 2. Now cover the dough with wet muslin cloth. So that Ajwain flavour spread in the dough Place another plate over it and keep aside for just 20 minutes. Once done., knead the dough lightly. Then take portions of the dough and make small balls of it. Roll the dough ball into a thick circle. You may also use dry flour if required.
  • 3. Now to prepare the naan, heat a tandoor oven over high flame. Now using hands, apply little water on the top part of the rolled circle and place the naan on the tandoor oven or tawa and spread some ajwain and butter on it . Now carefully,roast it from one side than turn it Once done, transfer it to a serving plate and serve hot with a dollop of butter on it. You can pair it with gravy based dishes like Malai kofta.
